Programs are scaffolding. The thing that actually changes a young person is having someone reliable in their corner who isn't paid to be there. That's why we measure FYM in the relationships we keep, not the events we run.

How do I refer a youth to FYM?
Start with our short referral form. We'll reach out within one business day to talk through fit. The youth and family always decide whether to move forward — we won't push or share contact info without permission.
What's the time commitment for mentoring?
Mentors commit to 2–4 hours a week, every week, for at least one school year. Showing up consistently is what makes the work matter, so we'd rather you start small than burn out fast.
Who can become a mentor?
Adults 21+ who pass a background check, complete our one-day onboarding, and can commit to weekly availability. We mentor across faith, race, and background — what we ask is reliability and a real interest in the lives of young people.
Do partners need to be local to South Florida?
For program-hosting and sports partnerships, yes — we work in Palm Beach, Lake Worth, and Miami-Dade. For sponsorships, internships, and corporate giving, partners can be anywhere. Get in touch and we'll find a fit.
Do donations cover programs only, or overhead too?
Donations support the full cost of running FYM — programs, mentor training, transportation, gear, insurance, the works. We publish an annual report so you can see exactly where your gift went.
